Public transport bicycle (OV-fiets)

A public transport bicycle (OV-Fiets in Dutch) is a rental bicycle. The idea behind it is to serve as your final transportation vehicle to reach your destination, after having travelled on the public transport system. The public transport bicycle (OV-Fiets) is a unisex bicycle with coaster brakes. It does not have gears or accessoires.

In order to rent an OV-fiets you need to have a subscription. You can subscribe online. It is important to know that this a subscription needs to be linked to an NS-card. If you do not own an NS-card (NS-pas in Dutch), you can consider purchasing a so-called OV-fietspas instead. It is possible to rent two bicycles on one of these cards.
